rebuilt t56 shifting problems .
heres the deal by brother brought his t56 to have his trans rebuilt , grinding in 2 3 and hard to get reverse and some other **** . Bought 500 worth of parts and had a reputable guy who has done many before and did a great job tuning my car. He gets it back and its hard to get 6th , and it is very hard to do a 3-2 downshift .
My tuner who put it together says its the clutch hes seen it before , also my brother has the same clutch as me and resurfaced the flywheel , installed a shim like i have and made the stock master adjustable .
So builder says its the clutch , bro makes it adjustable and it disengages completely , as in jacked up in 1st gear rev to 5500 and doesn't even move , same on the ground obviously , so it disengages completely. I told him this he still says its the clutch hes seen it before ???
how can a manual trans decide which gears it has problems with based on the clutch , i dont understand . Im thinking its a trans problem and no way clutch .
whatchoo guys think.
