hard time getting into reverse

so my car is a m6 and has a monster stage 3 and tick adj master cylinder and a new slave... when im trying to go into reverse i have to slam it to the side to get it in. getting it up in reverse isnt hard its just the side motion is very hard...why do you think this is

what shifter do you have? it maybe something up there but more likely, theres a solenoid that keeps you from going to the reverse gate at certain speeds, it just sounds like that isnt opening up and your pushing through the solenoid.

Did u plug in reverse inhibit solenoid connector on d/s of trans near shifter? I would check to see if connector is plugged in otherwise it will be hard to put in reverse if disconnected.

Reverse solenoid has a black plug / skip solenoid has a white plug. Be sure you didn't reverse these. A problem shifting as you have would be the result of a swapped connection.
