Shifiting problem??????
Shifiting problem?????? im having a slight problem. i have a 2001 camaro Z28. it has heads and cam. makes 435 rwhp. when i do my burnout, in first gear. i stage. i hit 2nd, third gear fine. but when i go to hit 4th it will not go. its like the clutch pedal is stuck to the floor. after a second it will go into 4th and i can go on thru the 1/4 mile. when i start to gear down to make the turn to go pick up my disappointing time slip the clutch pedal is hard to push in and its hard to go in to any gear. and suggestions on what to try next would be greatly appreciated. heres what i have tried. ok, i had the clutch out last week, the disk looked fine, its a star stage 3. i put a new slave cylinder in. and we bled the clutch really good. it felt good for a while. but when i get on it hard it doesnt want to go to fourth. any other time it shifts really nice. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks alot. larry
i have the exact same problem w/ the stock clutch. Ive bled the system and insulated the clutch line in my c5vette w/ high heat insulation and that didnt help. Mine does it usually going into 4th or 5th if im on the highway but only under heavy acceleration. Id like to know how to fix it too. I dont want to replace everything if i dont have to.
