Default McLeod flywheel?

Is it a must to change flywheels when running one of the twin disks setups like the RST or can another cheaper flywheel be used?

Well I just did the McLeod RST twin disk with their matching lightweight steel flywheel, and absolutely love it! I'm pretty sure it's not a "must" but if your stocker has been resurfaced or anything before, then i'd highly recommend it

RST/RXT clutches can be used with a new OE GM flywheel that you can buy from Rockauto for around $100. Don't use an old flywheel that has been resurfaced because the stacked height will be different and you'll need to shim the flywheel; It's better to avoid that whole situation.

Thanks, this is the information I was looking for. I don't mind really paying for The Mcleod flywheel I'm just trying to do a few things at the same time. Might just save a little more and get their flywheel.
