Default Where to put ATF in on a T56????

I am currently reinstalling my tranny which is empty of fliud...
Where do I put the automatic transmission fluid in on a T56???
I was told to put it in where the shifters at (with it off of course)..
But will it circulate through the whole tranny?

I did notice where to fill it up on the tranny but it looks as i have to take off the plug and pump it in somehow since its sideways...

Where should i put it in???

You can put it in through the shifter. Or you can buy a pump and pump it into the Fill Hole on the drivers side of the tranny. You'll need a 3/8 plug.

4 Quarts I believe.

Pour it in through the shifter mount. Works fine.

Advice for putting it in through the shifter:

Pour very slowly and make sure the fill plug on the side is off so you know when its full. When it starts comming out the fill cap, it will keep dripping for a while, as it goes down slowly through the shifter. Oh yeah.... make sure the driveshaft is in first :-)
