Default Trans acting strange in cold weather

so the other day i was cruisin over to a friends house and its the first time ive driven this car in cold weather (47*) and when i was just driving casually it was rough and grinded a bit going into 4th and then 5th but only those 2.... it felt like it was catching. but after i stopped for gas and had been driving it for about 5 min its fine again. I even tore through some gears at all rpms and everything worked fine so im not sure whats going on here. my only thoughts are since the clutch fluid was cold im losing pressure??

setup is a Tick MC, Monster Level 2, Tick speed Bleeder setup and car is just boltons around 350wheel and has 88k miles on it. trans is oem non rebuilt still.

The transmissions don't like it when they are
Cold at all. Maybe change the fluid.

Yep. Mine is super notchy in cooler weather for the first 10-15 minutes of driving. After it warms up it's fine.

Running a thinner fluid in it will help when its cold but if you just let the car run in neutral for a few minutes before taking off in the mornings or if its sat for a long period of time, its usually not an issue.
