also all gears are very hard to put the shifter in them .......
something else
when I went to the drag , want to jump from zero and reve the rpm to 5000 the car also move although I am puishing the clutch !!!
THE CLUTCH IS MCLEOD TWIN DISK
today I readjust it again , now the shifter is not going in any gear , also ...... I am not pushing the clutch and just let the shifter touch the first gear - no going into it- the car is moving !!!!!
What is the problem ???? and what is the solution ?????
the clutch is new
PLEASE HELP
Thank you in advance
As it turns out the clutch was not fully disengaging. So by making my master cylinder adjustable I am now able to have a longer stroke of the cylinder and therefore depress it more and in turn this allows the clutch to properly disengage. Also, If you have the McLeod adjustable, are you adjusting it the proper way? It seems as though you might have gone the wrong way with it. Essentially what you want to do is "lengthen" the actuator rod which will allow you to depress the cylinder more and again give you more pressure on the throw-out bearing (disengaging the clutch)
Trust me, the past two weeks have been very difficult for me and the car but I've definitely learned about it (my car) and as of last night I am (for now) fully satisfied that my clutch problems are gone.
Good luck!
