clutch or something else? This is my dilema. I have had an issue with 2 pulleys on my ride ac idler and idler pulley. To stop the annoying squeek I have been putting wd40 to shut it up. Now as of last week my car is having an extremely difficult time getting into first.
When I hit the gas my rpms shoot up as normal. The car will not move unless I literally hold the gas pedal down for 6 or 7 seconds or i bring the car to around 3500-4000 rpms. Once the car is in motion I seem to be ok. Now is this a problem with my clutch or with possibly my belt slipping. It's an m6.
My car is just getting extremely frustrating to drive because of this issue. My master cyclinder was changed around 30k miles ago. I really don't think its my issue. I have pressure on the clutch and gears seem to be changing ok after 1st.
What do you think and where would you start. I really can't afford much at this point and my car is mostly stock cept for my lid. Any ideas?

This right here sounds like a master cylinder problem. Really common on the m6's. If it is, a straight fix back to a stock master cylinder would probably run you ~$60 if you do the work yourself. Problem is...its going to happen again one day. If you want to eliminate the problem entirely, you will have to go with an aftermarket master. Those run $300 and up.

I wouldn't mind just doing a stock replacement for 60$ but problem is I have no idea on where to start when replacing the master cylinder. Is that the same as the clutch because other people are telling me the clutch seems to be on its way out. I still think in some ways it is tied into the problem with the pulleys also.

here is a video of what is going on. See how high my rpms go before I get into gear. Lets play name that problem. Then lets play how much?

Wow, that thing is slipping like crazy! It's weird that it's only from a start. I'd agree with Confederate on this one. This video should help you with locating and replacing the clutch master cylinder. Plus its actually about the drill mod, so maybe you could do that one too while you're at it.
