Transmission problem. I have a stock 2002 z28 camaro with an ls1 engine 5.7 L. If i am on the interstate in high gear and I mash the gas my shifter seems to have a rattling noise coming from it and I feel as if my axle is whobbling slightly. Not sure what he problem is but definately need some help figuring out what the deal is. If im in nuetral and rev the engine then no rattle. Any ideas ?
This is a .5 overdrive. Mashing the throttle and expecting anything but a groan from the drivetrain is not realistic. If you were looking to accelerate smoothly ( quietly) , downshift first.
