Default Clutch Question

Still searching the forums for this information. But my question is, I have an 02 SS with a 76mm front mount turbo.

Makes close to 500 hp to the wheels. I'm looking at the Monster Stage 2 or stage 3 clutch. The clutch that is in my car is 11" or 12" in stock form? I'm going to daily drive this car, so which stage would better suite my needs.

I would go with our Level 3 12" unit. It will give you some extra room to "turn up the boost"

What's entailed with the installation of a 12" unit? Does the kit come with everything you need to install it or is there extra components needed.

i can vouch for the level 3 monster clutch setup, i have the same setup
also with their 18lb flywheel and its been holding its own at 640rwhp 670tq.

the kit will come with everyhting you need for the install, and i would suggest
buying a new flywheel.

We are a clutch company, we don't buy a flywheel here and a pressure plate there... etc. ALL of the components in our clutch packages are Monster Clutch components.

The premium package will include the following -
  • 12" H.D. Pressure Plate
  • 12" Level 3 Disc
  • 28lbs Billet Steel Flywheel - or optional 18lbs unit
  • Release Bearing
  • Pilot Bearing
  • Alignment Tool
  • Brand New GM Slave
  • All parts balanced

The only thing I recommend besides what is above is a set of bolts ($24.99) and one of our 36" remote bleeders ($29.99). If you're still running the factory master and it's a high mileage unit get a Tick while you're in there.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Monster stage 3 here as well. I have the 28lb flywheel to get my heavy car moving. No complaints at all.
