Question Is this the clutch for me?

My 98 z is about to roll over to 70 000 miles and the stock clutch is getting troublesome..The pedals likes to stick to the floor alot, and sometimes the clutch is trying to engage with the pedal barely off the floor.I realize that most of the problems are the 98 hydraulics. It doesnt grab real well on hard 1-2 shifts anymore either. The car is basically my wifes work car so the replacement clutch has to be very co-operative.I only drive the car on weekends when I dont feel like taking the truck out. I only take it to the track about once or twice a year.Havent went in a long time cause one trip will finish my clucth for good.My power right now is probably around 330-340 rwhp, but will someday do a cam and maybe heads.

I've pretty much decided on a Ram level 3 powergrip.$389.00 and says it will work with factory hydraulics and flywheel. Since I have a 98,I went ahead and ordered an new slave from gmpartsdirect.I am also working on getting a new steel flywheel.I plan on doing the drill mod to my 98 factory master. That should work won't it?
I considered a spec stg 2 or 3 but don't want any chatter if I can help it.Trying to keep wife somewhat happy!!

If there is anything I'm missing or wrong about plz feel free to help.
Thanks
Jay

I like having an adjustable master it is nice to have that feature.
It will be better & grab quicker with the drill mod.
Definately get the pilot bearing replaced as well.

I have a spec stg 3. Chattered during break in and then the first hard launch, it was gone. If you are only making that much power and your wife will be drving, maybe a z06 clutch and flywheel. just a suggestion. I would never send my girlfriend out in my T/A with the spec 3.
1. she would never make it out of the driveway
2. well thats pretty much it.
Its all in what kinda power you wanna make. I mean if a cam is in order soon then do an upgraded clutch, but there again its your wifes car so its kinda iffy.

Question

Now I can't decide.
A few people are saying just get the ZO6 clutch and it will do. With the Ram, they recoomend a new Billet flywheel which bumps the price to $630.00; $389.00 for the kit, and $239.00 for flywheel. The ZO6 clutch can be bought for $325.00. Is it worth $300 more to get the ram if my power level will most likely stay under 380 rwhp with a cam addition in the future. I could use the money saved buying the ZO6 on a set of pullies or TB.
One more twist, the steel flywheel sold on ebay could be used with the ram right? It's only $110.00, which puts the two prices closer together.
Thanks again for help.

Oh yeah, wife can handle some side affects. I did make her drive it with an open cut out for quite a while without too many complaints. I am giving her new tires and bilstiens at the same time too, so that could compensate for side affects of my choise a little.

Ram just wants you to use the steel flywheel because of the dangers of having a cast one come apart. That danger will be the same no matter what clutch you choose as long as you keep the original flywheel. As far as the $110.00 steel flywheel on Ebay, I would stay away from it unless they can provide proof that it was built by a reputable manufacturer. Trust me, you do not want a part exploding at your feet at 6,000 rpm's because it was $100.00 to $200.00 less expensive. Also balance and it being true are critical to this item.
