OK, im prob. going to have to replace my clutch soon. Right now im puttin down 330hp and 340tq about. Im not going to do any more mods, so i dont need a stage 3 clutch. I plan on gettin a z06 clutch, but what else will i need. I see alot of people saying get a new master and slave, but is that necesarry? Also is there anything else id need other than the clutch, pressure plate, and pilot bearing? Also when you buy a clutch what all does it come with normally and what is the avg. installation price?

Since you have a '00.. Should definitely upgrade your hydraulics. New slave and master. I run the Spec Stage 3, and I think that it would be perfect for your situation. Eventually you're gonna want more HP and you might as well already have the clutch there to handle it...
We all know that we never have enough power.. That's just us being men
The clutch package should include clutch, pressure plate, and pilot bearing. If you upgrade your slave it will include a new throwout bearing. If you get a new master, which you should, be sure to do the drill mod while you have it out of the car. (www.installuniversity.net)
As far as install price, I'm not sure because I never even thought of having someone else do it for me. It would be a good Sat. project. Maybe someone else can help with the install price.
Well i only plan to have this car for anouther year. I got a good deal on it and im 16 so its what i got. I plan on getting a 01 or 02 camaro SS in a year or two. So im tryin to not do a whole lot to this car, which is why i just want a z06 clutch.
I got quotes around $1000 with parts from my local stealership, did it myself for less than $500 in parts and tools with a new slave. Its really not that bad to do yourself if you have jackstands, a few floor jacks and some time. Read around, its a good experience, and a great excuse to get some tools, and still save money
also did all 01 and 02 f-bodys get a z06 clutch? Im thinking about takin it to a local performance shop, once i find a good deal on all the parts needed and have them install the clutch. Ill call tommarow to find out how much it will be. Im hoping this one will last till the end of summer if i dont drive it hard. Its not slipping but i def. messed something up the other day.
So if i get a z06 clutch, stock flywheel, and pressure plate. Then all im gonna need to buy is new hydrolics(anyone know the part #) and a new pilot bearing(anyone know part number for this one right?
