Default Clutch issue

ok I just swapped a 5.3 into my 99 firebird. Added a on3 kit and after everything is put together transmission won't go into gear while it's running. So I have bleed it a lot, I have a speed bleeder so it's pretty simple. Did it a few ways dunked it in fluid while bleeding it. I have a street slayer clutch that was for my 2006 gto but got rid of the car so had it laying around. Installed that (can't put it in backwards) also new slave.
Clutch is nice and stiff pops right up off the floor when I take my foot off of it. Goes into gear perfect while it's not running. While running won't even budge into any gear, but if I put the car into gear and start it it doesn't really roll that I noticed. Clutch does engage very fast right off the floor when I start it in gear. So I don't think it is fully disengaging.
The master is stock and the clutch in the car before was a LUK.

Now do I need to pull the transmission and measure for shims or would a adjustable tick be the cure to give my clutch pedal the adjustment to engage farther from the floor?
I just don't want to pull the transmission if I don't have to.

Anyone with helpful words......"..

How many miles on the master?
Was the slave replaced?

Today I'm going to pull the tranny and make sure everything is in spec. Just robe sure the torque on the clutch and measuring for a slave shim.

Transmission pulled
When I got the clutch I purchased all ls2 stuff
So got ls1 pilot bearing
Ls1 slave (which actually looks different)

Pilot bearing was the same part number
I can't load the photos but the two slave cylinder bearings are different
So at this point I need to put it back together and measure
