McLeod RST Help. I am currentlly in Afghanistan and have been trying to get my clutch fixed. The clutch was boxxed up and sent to McLeod for a $400 rebuild. For 5 months my mechanic keeps sending it to them and they send it back with no repair, no charge and no reason. Being that I am in Stan, it got old and I said "screw it" and bought another RST.
Could anyone tell me what the reason may have been? The other thing is the clutch only lasted 5000 miles; mainly city driven and 30 track passes at 3500rpm-4500rpm launches. Is any of this usual?

So you bought a new RST and it only lasted 5000 miles before having to send it back to McLeod? Well I have a RST as well, make similar power to you, and have already put 2000 plus miles on it with no issues at all, so I have to say your situation is not normal at all lol
Hard to say but the rst is not really made for track abuse. It will hold power but does not hold slipping the clutch much. Anybody that tracks a car we always suggest the rxt which can handle full power launching.
