Default T56 Release Fork Question

The release fork on my t56 came with some damage. The metal retainer looking part is in pretty bad shape, looks like it was bent during removal. How much of an issue will this be? I am trying to bend it back into place or find another solution so I don't have to spend another hundred dollars on a fork. Any advice would be great thanks ahead of time.

you can try and bend it back....if it were my car I would spend the $100 for a new one, and I did just that.

maybe try heating the clip with a torch so it will bend back but that clip looks thin. Don't know if you can buy a new clip alone and drill old one out and rivet back

Was thinking the same thing, I guess I'll call around and see if I can find just the clip anywhere, but I highly doubt it. Where did you order your new fork from? Also if anyone else knows about the clip please chime in. Thanks for the response!

I got it at www.thegearbox.org 734.793.0727. part#1386-596-004

also bought a new bolt & "T" stud from them. Don't know if they just sell the clip, contact them.
