Default Flywheel discussion

O.k. going to replace my 980 disk with stock flywheel setup to a 910 with stock flywheel. Seen others post up about not having problems but the Manufacture states that you need a Steel insert flywheel.?????? Gimmick...????????? What makes the stock Flywheel so subject to being tore up by the disk?? What material is the stocker made of..?????

The stock flywheel is made from cast iron, whereas the RAM flywheel is made from steel. The steel one is stronger, lighter, and most of all, SAFER! If you're engine is overpowering the 980, it sounds like you are making some serious horsepower. So why stay with the stock flywheel and risk an explosion and possibly tear your legs up.
RAM clutches is a sponser, so give them a call. Mike will answer all your questions.

The 900 material is more aggressive on the flywheel, ie it will wear quicker.
