Default changing hydraulics

i ordered the new slave for my 98 because i'm going to put in a spec 3 very soon. the slave i got from work has been superceded twice since the old number doesn't exist anymore. so now there are two options for a slave. 12565145 doesn't exist anymore, 15046288 is the first revision and made out of metal, 12570343 is the newest number and is made out of plastic with a rubber boot covering the spring. has anybody ever run into this before? if so, which slave did you use? i'm not sure which one to get. the one with the boot is $107 my cost and the metal one without the boot is $92 my cost. i would think i should go with the metal one for a more durable piece. what do you guys think?? thanks, Jess
