bleeding and shim questions
bleeding and shim questions just about to put my new clutch in and i have a couple of questions:
1. where and when do you bleed it? i knew there's the mighty vac method and there's a bleeder valve on the slave, do you need to do both? can i get by with bleeding it when it's all installed from the slave?
2. my clutch (ram level 2) didn't come with any shims, are they necessary?

Shims aren't always necessary, especially if you are using a new or newish flywheel. As far as bleeding, are you replacing the slave and or master? If not, do the mity vac method with everything on the car just to get any air that got in through the quick disconnect. If you are replacing the slave, bleed it the old fashioned way with everything on the car, then hit it with the mity. If you are doing the master and slave you might was well bleed it out of the car as its alot easier.
