t56 5th gear problems

t56 5th gear problems Car is in the final stages of a 408/t56 swap. Yet to be driven except onto a trailer and now lift. Until yesterday it would shift through all gears fine while sitting with the car off. Now it has decided to not go in fifth. The only thing that has changed is I removed the shifter(mgw) and put it back on. All other gears are just fine and I drove it onto the lift in first without issue. Anyone have any ideas for me? Tonight after work I am going to pull the center console(again, ****) and take the shifter back off and see if I somehow managed to put it on in a bind or some ****. Just looking for some advice from more experience t56 guys.
