TRANS for camaro ls3
I've got an engine and transmission out of a 2011 camaro I'm trying to put into my 69 corvette. I'm stuck with the transmission setup. I'm having the issue of not having the slip yokr on that transmission and the bell housing is just a little too big for the tunnel. I could modify the tunnel, but it would have to be the whole tunnel as it's a little too small all over and I'm afraid none of the interior pieces would fit right after I did the work. The back of the trans also hangs down pretty low and I'll have to modify the crossmember, which is welded to the frame from the factory and has the exhaust holes going through it so I'd rather just modify the mount if I can get away with it. I'm thinking about changing transmissions to something a little less bulky with a slip yoke tail shaft. Anyone have any trans recommendations or work arounds for the issues I'm having? I ask about the transmission becuase I'm unsure of the clutch/bellhousing/flywheel combinations I'd need to mate the two together. Thanks for the input.
