Default t6060 or t56?

I have a trans that I got for what I think was a bargain but not sure if it's the t6060 or t56. I know there similar but different. This supposedly came out of a 2007 cts-v. I want to run this in my 64 Chevy II wagon when I do a ls swap. I've already looked into shifter options and found a bolt in setup from core-shifter that will put the shifter in a good location on my car and be able to retain my bench seat. I'm in no hurry so now I'm researching and trying to get my ducks in a row. I'm looking into drive shafts from the drive shaft shop and would also be interested to know if I could change this over to a splined output or cost wise be better to go with a driveshaft shop setup. Any input or advice is much appreciated. Btw I'm looking at 40 - 500ish hp from a ls3 or l92.

Btw when doing a swap will the t56 cross member work or are they different if this is indeed a t6060? Thanks again

cant really help on the driveshaft but an 07 should be a t56 with triple cone synchros. the 6060 came out in 08. the reason you wont get many replys is these trans are the oddballs the shifter location and ds yoke make it easier to just get a gto or fbody t56 than convert this to get that style which is the one most people want.

If you look at the input shaft plate in the bell housing the tr6060 will have a cylinder that is a fluid pump. t-56 doesn't have it.

I'm working in India this summer and as soon as I get back home in September I'll further investigate the input shaft. I think with the core-shifter the shifter location will be in a very suitable location and better so than a f-body trans. This will be 4"-5" closer to the firewall.

The front ends of the T56 and TR6060 are completely different. I just ordered a stock remanufactured TR6060 from these guys, https://reman-transmission.com/trans...s/?code=TR6060, I can post pics when it comes in if that helps?
