t56 fitment question

hey guys can anyone tell me how high the t56 should be, i just put it in a third gen and I don't know how high it should be from the tunnel to the shifter mount when installed, any ideas? thanks

Put the output at the same height as stock. Any higher can lead to potential driveline vibration in that chassis.

What I would've done is measured the original trans with crossmember and measured from the crossmember to the center of the output shaft. If the centerline of the t56 from to the crossmember is not the same I would add or decrease the amount by whatever the difference is.
