98 trans am trans issues When shifting at high rpms from 1st to 2nd i get a grind more and more often. The car will still go into gear but it will grind during the shift. When shifting it almost feels like it has a "catchy" feeling when entering a gear. Sometimes when coasting I will try to put it in 3rd gear and it will grind. I will rev match and it will still grind. The car does have a tick master cylinder and a brand new slave cylinder. Ive read about the 98 cars having paper blocker rings and weaker parts. With the car having 136,000 miles it makes me think it's time for a rebuild/upgrade.
