Quick question So I found a real good deal on a 98 trans am. The problem with the car is the guy says it won't go into gear with the car on. But if he turns the car off and puts into gear he can drive and go through all the gears. Not sure what the problem could be. But the car is a two owner 60k mile car black ws6. He only wants 6k for it which is great price in my area for a low mile 6 speed car. I haven't drove the car myself but I plan to this weekend, just want a better idea on what it could be. Thanks
You need to factor in the possible repair cost which can get pretty expensive unless you're doing most of the work yourself. I would factor in at least spending $500, more or less for repair cost.
