Default New slave, clutch line won't go in

Hey guys,

So I just got done installing a new rear main, LS7 flywheel, and LS7 clutch on my 2000 Z. I also replaced the slave cylinder with one from Wagner that has the AP stamp on it. I got everything re-installed and the last part is to hook the clutch line back up and bleed the system, problem is, I can't the stupid line to hook into the slave no matter what I try. I've pushed the line into the slave as hard as I possibly could and also had my friend try with no success.

The clutch line valve pushes in freely as does the slave side but they just won't snap together.

Part number for the Wagner slave is: SC134322
Casting number matches the new design from AP: D951004

I really need help on this one guys. Any tips/tricks that you can think of that might work will be greatly appreciated whether it works or not.

Thank you very much in advance!

EDIT: With this new design for the slave, do I have to switch to a new clutch line?

Have you tried leaving the bleeder valve open while pushing the line into the slave?

Yeah, I tried that after my first try at hooking up the line failed. Not sure where to go from here. I'm going to try a Dorman line from AZ tomorrow but I'm doubting that'll succeed.
