Default Transmission Problem!!

1999 Z28 LS6 Clutch kit. The other day I was driving to work on the freeway in 5th gear and I heard a clunking/grinding sound from the transmission and had to pull over to the side of the road. I heard a grinding clunking sound in the transmission when I depressed to clutch pedal and I could shift to all gears but when I did I got the grinding/clunking sound each time and no car car movement.

Got the car towed home and took out the tranny. There seem to be no leaks of tranny fluid or clutch hydraulic fluid. Master cylinder was still full of fluid. Pilot bearing looked good. Clutch, pressure plate, and flywheel looked to be in good condition.

Any ideas on what else to look at or what the issue might be? I have a bad feeling something is internally wrong with the transmission.
