Clutch, Master or Slave?
Was giving the car a spirited run at the traffic lights on an empty road at 5AM, something unusual happened.
Rolled off in 1st to about 20mph and went WOT, shifted to 2nd @ 6600 RPM no problems, went 2nd to 3rd gear @ 6600 RPM again, and shift was smooth.
Now, as I was pulling through 3rd, at about 5000 RPM suddenly the clutch began to slip.
If it were supposed to be slipping, would it not have slipped the same way through 2nd?
I am beginning to suspect there may still be residual pressure being applied by master cylinder because I pulled through 3rd gear from 2500 RPM to 6600 RPM and it did not slip.
Anyone experienced such a a situation before?
