Default Clutch help ASAP!!!!!

I replaced my McLeod MC w/ a new one under warranty. I bench bleed it using the Buschman's method until no more air came out. I put it on the car, bleed it the old fashion way and it felt normal for a few pumps. Then I go to bleed it through the MC reservoir using the Buschman's method again, pump it up to about 25 in/Hg and MORE and MORE air bubles keep coming out all the while pumping it to release all of the trapped air hiding in there. The pedal feels lik it should (no play) after doing this. Then I go for a test drive about 3 miles long, banging gears w/ everything working right. About 3/4 of the way through the test drive, all of a sudden the play was back again. Yet the first part of the drive was perfectly normal, then BAM, there it goes again. This is driving me crazy. I've been bleeding it for 4 days now and have gotten absolutely nowhere, except for the 5 minutes it was working fine. Any suggestions?

Sounds like you pulled air in through a bad master or slave cyl. or through the bleeder's threads. Try hitting it with the mighty at around 18-20 psi, and wait till the bubbles stop. Then drive, if its fine, you were pulling in air.

I've been bleeding it for 4 days straight though, using the Mity Vac through the reservoir. And it keeps pulling air out of it, like it won't stop.

Today I noticed if iding at a light and I pump it up quite a few times, it feels fine, then once I take off, driving sensibly I might add, it will go back to the normal, huge amount of play.

I talked to Speed Demon and he said he's about 99% sure it's a bad slave, since it bleeds down once it starts moving, but I really do not feel like pulling the tranny to change it out.

you must be sucking air in somehow especially since you keep pulling it out with no end. Got any leaks?
