Line lock problem

Line lock problem Hey guys,
So I want to see if any of you guys have any input on this. I have a friend that has line lock on his car and after trying it for the first time he ran into an issue.
I guess after he tried it, when he left he had to give the car gas with clutch half way pressed down and not to where it's almost released. He turned the car off and on and that seemed to fix the issue. But now he says his gears go in a lot softer than they used to. It's not necessarily malfunctioning because the gears don't slip or anything it just feels too soft. Any idea what it can be?
