Reverse Gear Grinding
Reverse Gear Grinding Hey guys, i have a problem with my new SS, when i put it into reverse it sometimes grinds, sometimes it doesnt do it. It doesnt pop out of revers or anything, but just grinds it a little when i first let the clutch out, after its out its ok. I searched around and it may be the synchros? or it might be the clutch, would do u all think it may be? the car has 90K miles on it, so it may need a new clutch. thanks for ur help in advance.

my car only has 28k miles on it and it use to do that too. Hasn't done it in awhile. I also remember one time i was racing on the highway, i went to go slam it into 5th gear and it grinded reverse gear!(yes i am sure it was reverse), it was really really odd.
Thats what im thinking. What can i do to get this fixed? im hoping its not gonna be like a $2,000 job to fix it, maybe just get a new clutch or something, like that. Alright guys, thanks alot

Lots of problems with the early clutches & hydraulics. Never been replaced?
Have any other problems with the clutch or pedal feel?
Try shifting into 1st & then reverse that'll help for now if the clutch is the problem.
