Default Powerglide or Th400

Im building a 5.3 Ls with a 76mm turbo that will be driven daily to high school. It will be a Strip/Street car. Will have a Ford 9" inch and 4.56 Gear

I'm not familiar with those transmissions. Are they hydraulic or cable clutch? :-p

you posted in the manual section those transmissions are both automatics which is one section up in the forum.

How heavy is the car ? usually the 2 speed powerglide is used in lighter cars vs the 3 speed in heavier cars...

I have no in person knowledge of a setup like your building but from what I have read on the interwebs you don't generally run a very deep gear with a turbo usually more towards the highway gear end of the world which may slant you towards the glide just to bring the effective gearing back the right direction if your married to the 456's.

I don't know what part of the country your in but I have a 49k mile glide out of a ventura 250/6 chevy bellhousing pattern for sale in the eastern section for $275
