what's up everyone.

I have a 72' Camaro with a LT1 style T56 I am trying to install a 5th gen center console and the matching shifter bezel with the boot, the problem I've noticed is these 5th gens don't use a threaded shifter shaft like the previous generations and appears to lock in place.

is their any way known to make this work?
