T56 Advice Hey guys, I'm up in North Carolina for Thanksgiving and I came across this: http://m.ebay.com/itm/231750586961?_mwBanner=1&ul_noapp=true
T56 without a tail housing or bell housing out of a c5 corvette. What all do I need to mate it to my lq9? Is it worth getting it for $750? It's going in my '66 c10. Thanks guys!

not sure of exactly what you need to do, but i know the corvette transmissions are different and need modifications to work with a normal drivetrain. Corvettes have the trans mounted closer to rearend and this makes it unable to bolt to a normal setup. When i looked into a t56 it seemed like the cheapest way to get one is just finding one the way you need it. But im sure someone will chime in that knows more details. good luck.

A GTO front plate, tailhousing, mainshaft, shift rail mechanisms and some other parts can turn it into a GTO style trans. that takes a slip-yoke.
But it's not a black friday deal if you dig.
