grinding noise!!!!

grinding noise!!!! I just bought a 96 Chevy s10 4 cyle. Its grinds in all gears and neutral not just when I shift it grinds while im driving it quiets just a little when I push in the clutch but its a non stop noise. And its loud enough other drivers can hear it. Can someone help me on figuring out what it is.
