Built T56 break-in process?

Default Built T56 break-in process?

I should be receiving my T56 today from tick where it got the level 2 rebuild with viper mainshaft and will be reinstalling it tonight or tomorrow and was curious what break-in process is required. I searched but couldn't find anything lol

I have not heard of a "break in" process for T56. I bought a "new" one in 2005, nothing from D&D about breaking it in. I just drove it and raced it right from the start.

Maybe just change the tranny fluid after 500 mi to get rid of any debris from build or initial use if you feel that is necessary

Just drive it.

The clutch, if you got a new one, does have a break in procedure. The transmission itself, not so much.

The paperwork from tick said 400 miles of average driving for the break-in so I'll be relatively easy on it then change the fluid and call it a day! Preciate the responses

The break in procedure is mainly for the synchro teeth to wear in a little. 500-1000miles of city style driving will get it there. After a couple thousand miles it should loosen up a bit and shift smoother.

Hold down the gas when you shift it will break in faster..
