Closed pilot bearing?
Has anyone seen the Timken part number 57080? Was browsing pilot bearings and it says its compatible with our cars, seemed like a good option for no more chewed up input shafts and needle bearings and finally get an actual bearing like the TR6060 cars use. Any thoughts? I'll post a link if I'm allowed to since its on the auction site...

that part # is the same as National brand. IDK if Timkin makes the National one or not...
I just buy the AC Delco (maybe it is also made by Timkin) at rockauto.com

That's the one I run in my C5 now but have to get a new one since my couplers went to **** and ruined it along with my I put shaft, so I was researching them and ran across this one, the part numbers match and it seems like a direct fit but with a new design it seems, I'd like to purchase one and compare it with an ACDelco one from autozone and see the sizes and report back, could be what we've been waiting for, no more needle bearings coming apart and tearing up input shafts. Here's a link to them for reference (please don't shoot me mods, just trying to spread the word of the possibility of a new product) http://m.ebay.com/itm/Clutch-Pilot-B...-/311175312883
