Default T56 rebuild question.

I have the t56 stage two rebuilt parts from
tick sitting in the car, and im dropping it off soon for a rebuilt. Since I've had it I can't shift fast into 2nd or 4th. It has a tick master, and I had a new slave put in and that helped a bit, but still isn't perfect. I want to be able to shift fast, as the tranny should. Do I need the 1-2 and 3-4 synchro assemblies as well as the rebuild kit? Anything else I should have on hand before dropping it off? Thanks guys!

I don't think you'll know for sure until it's apart. Could be just the blocker rings that come with the kit, or it could be the engagement teeth on the gears, which require gear replacement.

What RPM are you trying to "shift fast?"

Any higher rpm. I'd say over 5000 It just doesn't like going into gear unless I shift slowly. It's grinded a few times and I just want to have it act like it should after the rebuild. So Whatever parts I may need I'm gunna get before it goes in.

Unfortunately, there's really no way to say what will be needed until you open up the transmission. If you bought everything you "might" need, you'd likely spend way too much. There's no point in replacing the gears or sliders unless they're worn.

Hopefully it just needs the synchro rebuild kit, but like others said you won't know until it's tore down. You may need new gears and synchro assemblies also.
