Default Tick Master Cylinder Help

After doing a lot of research I decided to replace my clutch master cylinder with the tick master. This was due to the clutch peddle sticking to the floor.

The install went pretty easily and I bench bled the unit prior to installing it. I'm hoping you guys who have installed the unit can help me with the following two questions.

When you screw down the aluminum shaft do you screw it all the way down the bolt coming out of the master and adjust it using the other end only? Or does it not matter which side you use for adjustment. I used both of them to get the peddle to where it is now.

My second question is the peddle right now is currently even with the brake peddle in regards to height. I originally followed the instructions and adjusted it from the shortest point. The clutch works perfectly right off the floor but its too hard to drive grabbing an inch above the floor. I adjusted it to be even with the brake peddle which makes it easy to drive and it grabs about half way up.

Does this seem normal or am I doing something way off. Thanks for any help!

The car has 19,000 miles on it and it's the original clutch.

My recently installed tick also is even with the brake pedal. Has an inch of play for some reason I can't be sure. But after I push the play out right before it starts to release from is resting "push" (if you get what I am saying here) it is about and inch lower than the brake pedal.

I screwed my long shaft in completely from the top and only adjust from the bottom side. So it screwed down and up from the threads closest to the master cylinder. It shouldn't matter though.

You should be alright

Thanks for the reply.

Mine also has some play at the very top and once you push on the clutch it goes down about 1/2 inch before feeling any pressure. Its hardly noticeable when driving though and the peddle is really firm other then that 1/2 inch.

I also removed the spring. That being said, I don't think I'd want the clutch peddle much lower because I'd have issues with the cruise control switch. I don't have much more thread left on the adjuster for the sensor.

Did you have any issues running the wires for ABS switch. Mine is a bit tight under the new master cylinder.

Thanks again
