Default Should I be concerned with this?

Recently picked up a used Tick master cylinder from a member here and was pretty disappointed when I opened the box to find that the male end of the hydraulic line that connects to the slave was beat to hell and the push lock bushing was completely destroyed. The push lock bushing is only a few bucks so I'm not too worried about buying a new one but would anyone be concerned with the male end pictured below? I already contacted Tick to price a new line and with the price of a new line plus what I paid for the entire unit, I could have just bought a new unit entirely.

Thanks

Previous owner is a moron. All you can do is install it and see if it leaks.
