Default T 56 shifter relocation

hi new here i am building a 31 model a ford using a 97 5.7 truck motor with a 95 camaro lt1 T56 going into new brookfield roadster frame the cross member is on top of the top rear port for the shifter can the shifter be relocated to the forward top port ?

Contact various Tremec dealers that do custom conversions for older cars.

You can do it without going to a Tremec dealer and without tearing the trans apart. Go to the link below and follow the instructions. It works great. Just take your time. You will need the shifter adapter and a Core shifter. I bought the McLeod adapter from Tick and it was an utter POS and Tick didn't lift a finger to help. My suggestion would be to go on Ebay and buy the adapter. You will probably get a better quality product.
