Value of t56?

Value of t56? Doing this mostly as a feeler. I have a t56 with about 170k on it. Trans isn't perfect. I'm pretty sure the synchros are worn out so it's in need of a rebuild, but no major issues like broken parts or the like. I'm debating between having the trans rebuilt (or attempting it myself) or purchasing a magnum, and selling my current t56 to offset the cost. My big question is, what do you guys think a trans like this is worth? There aren't many for sale so it's hard to gauge value.
That’s Andrews opinion, but I would bet dollars to donuts that transmission would sell for $1000.00 to $1500.00 all day long even with your detailed description that you gave on the transmission.
If it were me I think I would sell it with full disclosure of its condition and not have to deal with the rebuilders and just use the sale money to offset the price of a new magnum with warranty and the piece of mind.

I paid $1100 for mine used. It’s a 96’ t56, non ls tranny, with a stage 2 kit, like 10 miles on rebuild. I converted the box to a LS box...front cover, bell housing, input shaft. Cost me $600 for parts. I’ve got $1700 in a stage 2 t56 basically.

from what I've seen on craigslist and facebook marketplace, it'll vary based on location. I paid $1200 for my "120k mile old woman driven" LS T56. I don't think I've ever seen one cheaper than $1000 though.
