Junkyard T56 I have been looking for a T56 for a while, naturally they are $$$$.
I found this T56 in a pile at the bone yard yesterday. Aside from the other half missing, I saw the front main shaft bearing to be shredded. Curious, would it be worth picking up for $30-40 and having a trans shop rebuild it? I figured it’s there for a reason but I’d like to get some “expert” opinion before I rule it out.

Here are the pics. These are all the casting numbers I could find. I know it’s missing about half the stuff it needs to bolt on and drive down the road.
Would it be worth buying the parts the trans needs (assuming what is there is good) and having someone put it together? Vs buying a used trans from Craigslist with 100,000 + miles?
