Stiff Shifting

Stiff Shifting I have a 2007 Ford Focus SE, hatchback. I recently bought it and I have noticed it's hard to shift sometimes. some of the symptoms I have found are;
1. Burnt clutch smell in trans fluid
2. Difficulty shifting from 2nd into 3rd, and into reverse
3. Car shifts smoothly while running or parked, as long as it's stationary
4. Car is stiff to shift only when driving even with the car turned off
No codes if that helps, I checked and had nothing related to the trans. The linkage seems okay, just needs lubricated. I dunno what transmission I have exactly in my car.
I had thought the issue was the clutch not disengaging the trans, but the clutch engages the trans at about 40% of the pedal. So there should be plenty of pedal to fully separate the plates to shift
I would like to know the issue to figure out how worried I should be about it, I don't want to have to replace a transmission on this car, but can if I need to

Oh crap, sorry. I just joined this page to ask this, but don't completely know how to use it. I'll look through, repost in the right spot, and hopefully get it right. I had no clue I was in camaro and fire bird discussion, let alone, chassis and suspension section
