Default 6 Speed Swap Clutch Issues; Need help!

Hello everyone! New member here!
Recently I acquired a 2001 Camaro z28 convertible automatic that is BONE stock. The car's purpose is to be a fun street car, so I decided I was going to 6 speed swap it. Long story short, I have just about everything together, but have been having a heck of a time getting this clutch to work! I bought a brand new stock replacement flywheel, a new pressure plate, and when I bought all the 6 speed swap stuff, it came with a brand new clutch disc. So essentially I have a brand new, stock replacement clutch assembly including the flywheel, as well as new pilot bearing. I re-used the slave cylinder the guy sold with the other stuff, as well as the clutch master cylinder (I know big no-no). I tried, and tried and tried to get it bled, and while I can get a somewhat decent pedal feel, the tires will still spin in 1st gear with the clutch pushed in (on jack stands). I talked to some people and was told I need to shim the slave cylinder, so I pulled the trans, ordered a new LUK slave cylinder, and shims, and took measurements with what materials I had (a level and a tape measure) and ended up using the biggest shim in the kit, and that left me with what I think was around 0.300" clearance. After bleeding the clutch extensively again, with the MityVac and the old way (bleeder open, clutch down, bleeder close clutch come up), I am still having the same issue.

The car is up on 4 jack stands, and when I start the car, push the clutch it, it takes some effort to get it into 1st gear and the tires will spin. HOWEVER, if I press the brakes while the car is in gear and the clutch is it, the motor does NOT stall, telling me that the clutch IS disengaging some, but is still grabbing enough to spin the wheels. Also I might add that it is extremely difficult to get into reverse. I am at a loss here and really appreciate any advice. I just need this thing to shift! I'm eager to try out the 6 speed! I have read that the Tick MC cures everything clutch related, but seeing as this is all stock replacement stuff, I have a hard time spending $300+ on a MC, not to mention its out of the budget currently.

P.S.
I should probably also mention that I took it upon myself to get a new OEM MC and do the drill mod to. Also the transmission shifts fine when the car is off.
