Default Slave cylinder differences

I swapped a LM7 into a 944. After getting the car together, I could not get the clutch to completely disengage. I tried every bleeding method, and am pretty confident there was no air in the system. The car would want to lurch forward with the clutch pedal depressed, and would not go into gear.

I considered the stock master cylinder would not move enough fluid to work the SC. So stupidly I tried a Wilwood 7/8 MC, instantly popped the SC. I am using a release bearing SC.

I had a S10 SC lying around from a previous project, so I assumed it would work in place of the suggested Corvette one. All of the 944 site suggest using a GM SC for an 01 Corvette.

So my question is,

Is there a difference between a S10 and a Corvette SC? 11” vs 12” original clutch.

I am using an 11-1/6 clutch and PP from a 1989 dodge D150 on a corvette flywheel. The dodge used a 1” bore external SC.
