Reverse lockout not blocking gate
This is a Holley EFI where I provide +12V to solenoid when (mph > 5). The +12V ECM driver is tripping on/off properly in datalogs. I haven't spooned into the circuit to measure actual voltage but the datalog is probably believable.
I always thought the native state of the solenoid is to block the gate and the solenoid had to have voltage to open the gate. Do these things sometimes mechanically break and lose ability to block the gate?
I'm fixin' to remove the solenoid and possibly replace, but some input from experienced people always helps. Thanks.
