Hey guys, last night I drained the synchromesh I wasn’t happy with out and filled with Dex III
question I had front of car up and don’t have the ability in my garage to get rear up and level.
last time when I did synchromesh it was about the same and took the 4QT. When I pulled fill plug in current position - nothing ran out. I drained for an hour then refilled with (4 LITRES) but started running around around 3.5L which is 3.7QT. I pushed the rest in and let it run out strong until it came to a solid trickle.
Considering the fill is literally in the middle of the T56, jack the drivers side of the car up in the air, whole car on an angle, and put 4 quarts of Dex III in, and be done.
I got a section of clear tubing and ran it down from the engine bay. I slid a funnel into the hose and gravity filled from the top. Slightly less than 4 quarts.
