Default Replacing T56 Mag Front Front

I picked up a t56 magnum that has a cracked front plate. I found a replacement plate for it but from what i understand, the end play will be different and i would have to shim it to get it in spec. I can find plenty of info/videos over a regular T56 but not much on the magnum's since the countershaft is 1pc and hidden. I was trying to find a service manual for the magnum but no luck either. Im new to building stuff so just trying to figure what exactly i have to do, and how to go about it to get this tranny back together to continue my project. Is it a similar process as a t56 or are there different steps i have to take, any help would be much appreciated.

If the plate is new, chances are it will set up fine with original shims.

I would use the GM integral front plate and bellhousing. That way you add a OEM oil pump to a Magnum...

Then he would need to do a complete tear down, get a 5th gen Camaro input shaft and depending on what he's putting in will require a lot more work.

O.P, the best thing to do is to get the new midplate and measure the bore depths from the old to the new and adjust + or - .

There is a post floating around one of the Facebook groups and someone made mention that it might have been equipped with a Bowler oil pump mid plate. I don’t know if that holds true or even what that all entails, I am definitely not a T56 expert by any means.
