Play in output shaft

Hello, I have clunking on gear changes, slack in drivetrain. Have done a video
should I have slack in output shaft when it was in 2nd like this?

is that a gto driveshaft? What all is exactly wrong? I have one two have the transmission out with 127k miles.

Does it pop out of any gears? Just curious as i may run into this problem with my 04.

Hi,
just clunking on gear changes like slack in drivetrain.
didn't used to do it, getting gradually worse, maybe a combination of diff wear gearbox wear, ujs wear etc.
just thought I would try putting in gear and rotating driveshafts to see how much play in gears...

That looks pretty typical to me. You may want to look at your trans mount to see if it is cracked. That will transmit a lot of clunking sounds between shifts.
