Default 5.3 build transmission questions

Hey guys new here. I apologize if this is answered I have been searching and can’t find anything in this. I have a NV3550 from a 1997 k1500 had a 5.7 vortec in it. I recently bought a 5.3 l59.

my question is can I use the flywheel from the 5.7 and bolt it to my 5.3 with the same clutch plate or do I need to buy a new flywheel and pressure plate and clutch?

I have seen mixed answers. Some say it will bolt right up some say it won’t.

thank you in advance for your help. I’m throwing this in my 97 jeep tj

I would check with the folks at Advance Adapters or Novak Adapters.

People who say it'll bolt right up don't know Engines. Gen III LS Engines are a whole different Crank Flange bolt pattern than the Gen I & II SBC.

You'll need a Clutch kit for what you're trying to do.
